Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms of Service explain the basis on which EreEar provides ear wax removal and related ear care services. By arranging an appointment with EreEar, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
EreEar is a sole trader business operated by Mark Randell, providing professional ear wax removal services, including microsuction and irrigation.
For enquiries about these terms or our services, please contact:

Our services
EreEar provides professional ear examinations and ear wax removal, primarily in the comfort of the client's own home.
Depending upon the condition of your ears, your medical history and Mark's professional assessment, wax removal may be carried out using microsuction, irrigation or another appropriate approach.
The most appropriate method will be discussed with you before treatment begins.
Appointments
Appointments are arranged directly with EreEar. We do not currently offer online booking.
When arranging an appointment, you should provide accurate information that may be relevant to your treatment, including any known ear conditions, previous ear surgery, perforated eardrums, infections, use of hearing aids or other relevant medical information.
You should tell Mark if your circumstances or symptoms change before your appointment.
Before your appointment
You may be advised to use an appropriate ear wax softening product before your appointment.
Following the preparation advice given by EreEar can make wax removal easier and more comfortable and may improve the likelihood of successful removal.
If wax has not been sufficiently softened, it may not be possible or appropriate to remove all of it safely during the appointment.
Assessment and suitability for treatment
Before treatment, Mark will examine your ears and assess whether ear wax removal is appropriate.
Treatment will only proceed where Mark considers it appropriate and safe to do so.
There may be circumstances where treatment cannot proceed or must be stopped. This could include signs of infection, inflammation, an unexpected ear condition, excessive discomfort or another reason which makes continuing treatment inappropriate.
Where necessary, you may be advised to seek further assessment from your GP, pharmacist, audiologist or another appropriate healthcare professional.
Consent to treatment
Mark will explain the proposed treatment and you will have an opportunity to ask questions before treatment begins.
You may withdraw your consent or ask for treatment to stop at any time.
Ear wax removal is generally a straightforward procedure, but no procedure is entirely without risk. Mark will explain relevant considerations or risks where appropriate before proceeding.
Treatment results
EreEar will always aim to remove ear wax safely and effectively. However, we cannot guarantee that all wax will be removed during a single appointment.
Wax may sometimes be too hard, impacted or otherwise unsuitable for complete removal, particularly where recommended preparation has not been followed.
If wax cannot safely be removed, Mark will explain the situation and advise you about appropriate next steps. This may include continuing to soften the wax and arranging a further appointment.
Treatment fees and unsuccessful wax removal
The appointment fee covers the professional consultation, examination of your ears and, where appropriate, the provision or attempted provision of ear wax removal treatment.
The normal appointment fee remains payable where an examination has been carried out and treatment has been attempted but the wax cannot be fully removed.
Any further appointment required will be discussed with you before it is arranged.
Our current prices are shown on the Appointments & Prices page of this website.
Payment
Payment is due following the appointment.
The payment methods accepted by EreEar will be confirmed when your appointment is arranged or at the appointment.
Cancellations and missed appointments
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please let us know as soon as reasonably possible so that the appointment can be offered to another client.
If you are not available when we attend a pre-arranged home appointment, we may need to rearrange your appointment.
EreEar reserves the right to introduce a cancellation or missed appointment charge in the future. Any applicable charge will be made clear to you before you confirm your appointment.
Home visits
As EreEar provides services in clients' homes, we ask that a suitable, safe and reasonably clean environment is available in which Mark can carry out the examination and treatment.
Mark may decline to begin or continue an appointment if he reasonably considers the environment unsafe or unsuitable for treatment.
We will endeavour to arrive at the agreed appointment time. Occasionally circumstances outside our reasonable control, including traffic or delays at earlier appointments, may affect arrival times. If there is a significant delay, we will try to contact you.
Children and vulnerable clients
Where treatment is requested for a child or a person who may not be able to provide consent independently, EreEar may require the consent and/or presence of a parent, guardian, carer or other person legally authorised to provide consent.
EreEar reserves the right not to provide treatment where there is any doubt about appropriate consent or where treatment would not be appropriate.
Your health information
To provide our services safely, EreEar may need to collect relevant information about your health, medical history, ears and previous treatment.
We may also retain examination findings and treatment records.
Health information receives additional protection under UK data-protection law.
Further information about how we collect, use, retain and protect personal and health information can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Limitations of our service
EreEar provides ear wax removal and related ear examination services. Our service is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment by your GP or another appropriate healthcare professional.
If Mark identifies something during an examination that may require further investigation, you may be advised to seek medical advice.
If you experience severe ear pain, sudden hearing loss, significant bleeding, discharge or other symptoms that concern you, you should seek appropriate medical advice rather than waiting for a routine ear wax removal appointment.
Our responsibility to you
EreEar will provide its services with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law, nor does it exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
You are responsible for providing EreEar with accurate and relevant information about your ears, health and medical history where this could affect the suitability or safety of treatment.
Complaints
We want you to be satisfied with the service you receive.
If you have a concern or complaint, please contact us in the first instance so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve it.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our services, prices, policies or applicable legal requirements.
The latest version will be published on this website and the “Last updated” date at the top of these Terms will be amended accordingly.
